Teens enjoy a day at the (skate) park
Even on the hottest of days, Railbender Park is teeming with kids and teens grinding rails, dipping off the edge of a quarter-pipe and catching some air.
Parker residents Isaac John and Dawson Foster, both 14, were among those putting on a display at the skate park June 26. Their friend, Jacob Strand, 13, got in on the action by sacrificing himself for the good of a trick, in which Foster flew over him on his bike. Thankfully, helmets are commonplace these days.
Despite the risk, many parents would agree that summer is better spent outside on a scooter, bike or skateboard than in front of the TV.
