Detzner performs in fundraising video

Morgan Grace Detzner, of Parker, was featured in a fundraising video that was created for the Hospice of Saint John in Lakewood. The video was named a Silver Award Winner in the 2010 Davey Awards, announced by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, based in New York.

Morgan is a student at Cimarron Middle School and lives in Parker with her family. Morgan had dreamed about a career as an actor and sees her dreams strengthened by this acknowledgement of her talents.

Parker’s Scott selected for dance competition

International Ballet School student Anisa Scott, 17, of Parker, was selected to compete in The Prix de Lausanne 2011 in Lausanne, Switzerland. In its 39th year, the Prix de Lausanne exists “to reveal the potential of exceptionally talented young dancers from around the globe by having them perform before a jury of world-renowned dance personalities [and] to open the doors to the world's finest schools and companies for them by providing scholarships to the most prestigious schools and companies.”
