Car collides into Parker apartment complex, no injuries reported

South Metro Fire Rescue and a town building inspector are determining if part of complex needs to be shut down

Parker Police responded to a call of a car that collided with the external stairwell of a Parker apartment complex the afternoon of April 23. South Metro Fire Rescue was called to help stabilize the part of the building damaged by the car. The car was a gray sedan.

A building inspector from the Town of Parker is currently conducting an inspection on the apartment complex, at 19267 Cottonwood Drive. From there, the building owner and inspector will decide whether half of the complex needs to be shut down.

South Metro Fire Rescue reported no injuries.

According to Parker Police officials, the driver inadvertently "went forward instead of backward." The driver is facing a potential charge of careless driving.  Police do not suspect that alcohol or drugs were involved.

No further information was immediately available.
