Another set of Chaparral High School students is on its way to the next stage of life after the school hosted its annual graduation ceremony May 18.
The ceremony at Echo Park Stadium in Parker included performances from the school band, the senior choir and students Olivia Schwab, Grace Chang, Joseph Pagano, Stella Bollefer, Adam Suhr and Riley Hibpshman.
Valedictorian Ethan Baird also addressed the class during the ceremony.
“I look out today and I see a group of amazing individuals that together can accomplish anything,” he said. “However, we must remember that we can only do this if we love our differences.”
The outdoor ceremony began at 10 a.m. and lasted about two hours.
The graduation was interrupted at one point when paramedics responded to an attendee who fell ill during the event.
