Incoming 2011 women’s volleyball recruit to Ohio State, and
presently a senior at Chaparral High School, Anna Faul has been
named a PrepVolleyball.com
first-team Academic All-American. She is a 6 foot, 3 inch middle
blocker who was a part of the Wolverines’ Class 5A state
championship team in 2010 and was a first-team All-State selection.
She also plays for the Front Range Volleyball Club which recently
won the Crossroads National Qualifier 18 Open division.
Faul ranks ninth in a class of 552 and is a member of the
National Honor Society and is a National Merit Scholar
semifinalist.
“Anna brings a wealth of high level experience to our team,
coming off a recent state championship and playing for one of the
most competitive clubs in the nation,” Ohio State head coach Geoff
Carlston said. “She is as good of a blocker for her age as I have
seen in some time and will really solidify our middle hitter
core.”
Last season, she recorded 189 kills and 163 blocks for Chaparral
and holds all the school’s blocking records.
