The Douglas County School District was closed Jan. 22 due to blowing snow, wind chill and a blizzard warning affecting a portion of the county, the district announced early that morning.
All before- and after-school activities were canceled. Today's board of education meeting was rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m.
“Safety is a top priority,” DCSD wrote on its Facebook page. “For this reason, our snow team is continuing to monitor the storm.”
