Douglas County residents looking for a way to be active in their community can apply to serve on one of the county's advisory boards, committees or commissions.
“From the cultural council to the planning commission, volunteer members provide subject matter expertise and experience that is vital to the county's decision-making process,” County Commissioner and Board Chair Roger Partridge said in a news release. “The county and its citizens greatly benefit from this service.”
Serving on a board, committee or commission is a hands-on way to engage in the county's governance and serve the community, the release said.

Go to https://www.douglas.co.us/government/commissioners/citizen-advisory-boards-committees-and-commissions/application-for-appointment-for-citizen-advisory-boards.
