Track and field
RFC Invitational
Ponderosa finished fifth at the RFC Invitational April 18 at
Aurora Public Schools Stadium in Aurora.
Highlights (Ponderosa): Senior Marissa Reinke won the girls
400-meter dash with a time of 1 minute, 1.77 seconds. Junior Kelly
Flynn tied for gold in the girls pole vault with a height of 8 feet
even.
Sophomore Amee Tan was third in the girls 100 high hurdles as
well as the 300 hurdles. Senior Edward weber was third in the boys
long jump. Freshman Shanna Christian tied for third in the girls
high jump. The Mustangs’ 1,600-meter relay team was third in its
event. Sophomore Maggie Kroskob was fourth in both the girls 800
run and the 1,600.
