Highlights: The Mustangs’ David Johnson pitched five innings with five strikeouts and two errors. Eric Curtis hit 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple and two RBIs. Zane Knapp (2-for-4, 1 RBI) also had a three-base hit.

Highlights: The Lions’ Christian Parkinson went 1-for-3 at bat with an RBI. Aaron Loptein pitched five innings with two strikeouts and four errors.

Highlights: The Wolverines’ Tyler Honahan pitched five innings with seven strikeouts and three errors. No batting highlights were reported.

Boys lacrosse

Highlights: The Wolverines’ Trevis Thompson had five goals. Mike Brandt had two assists and one goal. Jason Hamburg also put two shots in the net. Goaltender Bennett Trice had 16 saves.

Girls lacrosse

Heritage-Littleton 6 7 - 13

Highlights: The Wolverines’ Chelsea Cyester had seven goals and one assist. Kasey Griese had two goals. Shelby Hill had a goal and an assist. Lauren and Meghan Wells had six saves each, sharing duty in the cage.

Girls soccer

Highlights: The Lions’ Ella Kerr had four goals and two assists. Lacey Davidson and Emily Fluhr had one goal and two assists each. Goalkeeper Stephanie Lund had eight saves.

Littleton 1 0 - 1

Ponderosa 0 2 - 2

Highlights: The Mustangs’ Mallory Yacullo and Shannen Wacker each put one between the pipes. Maddie Hanssler had an assist.

Track and field

RFC Invitational

Ponderosa finished fifth at the RFC Invitational April 18 at Aurora Public Schools Stadium in Aurora.

Highlights (Ponderosa): Senior Marissa Reinke won the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 1 minute, 1.77 seconds. Junior Kelly Flynn tied for gold in the girls pole vault with a height of 8 feet even.

Sophomore Amee Tan was third in the girls 100 high hurdles as well as the 300 hurdles. Senior Edward weber was third in the boys long jump. Freshman Shanna Christian tied for third in the girls high jump. The Mustangs’ 1,600-meter relay team was third in its event. Sophomore Maggie Kroskob was fourth in both the girls 800 run and the 1,600.
