Toborg can speak

So, the anonymous Facebook group “Recall Jeff Toborg” wants to launch a recall of newly elected Parker Mayor Jeff Toborg because of some comments he posted on Parler regarding his thoughts on the recent Capitol assault and the COVID-19 pandemic. Apparently, this recall group feels that because Mayor Toborg identified himself as “mayor elect of the town of Parker” he is not allowed to voice an opinion and that he breached some sort of progressive, liberal firewall. In that case, I would hope that this group would also want social media users as @JoeBiden, @KamalaHarris, @NancyPelosi, @ChuckSchumer, @JaredPolis, etc., etc., ad nauseum to be recalled if they post their beliefs. After all, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Right??

I find it interesting that the spokesman for the Recall group chose “to remain anonymous in fear of their family’s safety and retribution from ‘right wing’ activists.” I’m surprised that the Parker Chronicle would even print such an article without identifying the spokesperson. Without substance, all we have is hearsay, but I guess the progressives feel that is all they need. Do you think I will be granted anonymity by the Chronicle for this letter?
