Too much development already
Isn't Parker congested enough with monster apartment complexes and huge commercial buildings? The Parker Town Council voted to sell the 23 acres of prime vacant land at the Pine and Mainstreet intersection (“the Pine Curve") and the grassy open field in front of the PACE Center to developers to bring more people and more cars into downtown. Their bogus online survey didn't even include open space or parks as a choice — just buildings! We the people paid for this land, so we the people should decide how it's used. A park where families can stroll, children can play, people can picnic or just enjoy an outdoor nature break would be the crowning touch at the end of Mainstreet.
Our citizens’ group needs your signatures on petitions to put this question on the ballot.
If you want to keep Parker’s hometown vibe and are sick of development that brings more traffic snarls and longer commute time, you can help us. Find out where to sign the petitions by going to our Facebook page, Save Pace Parking and Pine Curve or https://www.facebook.com/RethinkPineCurve and click on "Events" or look on Home Page to find dates, times and locations where you can sign the petition. For more information, or to get petitions click “Send Message” at top of Facebook page with your contact info. Or email Lily Williams – email@example.com to get a petition and gather signatures from your friends and neighbors. Let's show the town council we won't let them urbanize our Parker anymore!
