Parker Bible Church has provided ministry to Parker and surrounding communities for 25 years.

The church started as a church plant of Riverside Baptist Church of Denver on Sept. 11, 1994. It first met at Cherokee Trail Elementary School in the Clarke Farms subdivision. In 1996, the church purchased 10 acres of land on West Parker Road, now Mainstreet, a half-mile wide of Jordan Road, and initiated plans to build a church building on that property.

After meeting at Chaparral High School for three years, the church was dedicated and opened for worship, Bible study and ministry on Jan. 7, 2001.

Kirk Youngblood has been senior pastor at Parker Bible Church for all 25 years. He is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also has a doctor of ministry degree through the master's seminar program in Sun Valley, California. Before coming to Parker Bible Church, he served in pastoral roles for several churches in Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado. He has been in the ministry for more than 42 years.

The church also has a full-time music pastor, Michael Jackson, a graduate of The Master's College with a degree in church music. He is also the biblical counseling pastor and he is pursuing his master's of biblical counseling at the Master's University. He has been a music pastor for more than 25 years and joined the Parker Bible Church staff in 2013.

Parker Bible Church also has a full-time youth pastor, John Hedberg, a graduate of Southern Poly Tech State University. He earned his master's of divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served in youth ministry for 13 years and joined the Parker Bible Church staff in 2016.

The church will host an evening event Sept. 7 with cider and doughnuts to welcome back guests who were previously a part of the church. On Sunday, Sept. 8, a special service will begin at 10 a.m. that will include pictures and memories from the past 25 years.
