The Parker Chamber of Commerce and The Town of Parker Economic
Development is pleased to announce it will be awarding the
prestigious Cornerstone Award on March 20 at PACE Center in Parker,
This year's Cornerstone Award winner is Helen E. Krieble. She is
the founder and president of The Vernon K. Krieble Foundation (A
private foundation dedicated to public policy and America's
Founding principles). Ms. Krieble is a strong supporter of free
enterprise and entrepreneurship nationally and internationally. She
is the author of "Two Paths to Safety: A Private Sector Initiative
to Break the Illegal Immigration Deadlock." And is a sought-after
speaker on illegal immigration, including forums in both Houses of
Congress, the prestigious Heritage Lecture, the Conservative
Political Action Conference (CPAC), Institute of the Americas and
testimony before a U.S. Senate Committee. Ms. Krieble holds a B.A.
(cum laude) from Harvard-Radcliffe and a M.A. from the University
of Pennsylvania, in addition to post-graduate work at John Hopkins.
She owns and operates the Colorado Horse Park, an international
equestrian and events center in Parker, Colorado. Raised in
Connecticut, she is also a renowned art historian and has developed
nationally recognized art lectures, exhibits and workshops.
The Parker Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to have Reggie Rivers
as this year's keynote speaker. Reggie played six seasons with the
Denver Broncos. In 1993, his teammates selected him as the Broncos
Special Teams Player of the Year. In 1991, Reggie graduated from
Southwest Texas State University with a B.A. in Journalism. In
2007, Reggie graduated from the University of Denver with a
Master's Degree in Global Studies.
The evening will start with cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres
from 5:15-6pm. We will proceed to the theatre for the inspirational
keynote address by Reggie Rivers, Overcoming Obstacles. Following
the keynote address the Cornerstone award will be presented to Ms.
Krieble by local entrepreneur, Dennis Niewoehner. The event will
end at approximately 7:15pm. Following the award ceremony, Ms.
Krieble will be available to visit with attendees and Mr. Rivers
will be selling and signing his books.
The Cornerstone Award was created in 1997 to honor leaders in
the Parker Community who have shown commitment to helping pioneer
and nurture the growth and development of Parker. This award
recognizes the highest level of civic and professional involvement
in our community. Previous winners of the Cornerstone Award are Jim
Nicholson, Dean Salisbury, Dennis Niewoehner, Dale Farmer, Sandy
Larson, Frank Jaeger, Mike May, Stevan Strain, Erik Jensen, Jim
Marshall, Dan Qualman, Jim Anest, Parker Adventist Hospital and
Tickets for the event go on sale at the PACE Center box office on
February 1, 2012 and can also be purchased online at
www.paceonline.org. Advance tickets are $25.00 + service charge,
tickets at the door are $35+ service charge.
