Parker jewelry store burglarized

Posted

Police are looking for a burglar who they say stole nearly $500,000 worth of jewelry from a Parker store.

The Parker Police Department responded to a report of a burglary around 10:20 a.m. March 26. Detectives found that the suspect broke into an adjacent business and accessed the jewelry store through a common wall. The store owner arrived the next morning to find empty display cases.

The estimated loss as reported by the store owners is approximately $480,000 in merchandise. It is unclear if there are any suspects or whether there are surveillance cameras at the shop. A call to public information officer Doreen Jokerst was not immediately returned the afternoon of March 28.

The Parker Police Department is asking for assistance in the case.  Those with information should contact detective Penny VanDenBerg at 303-805-6560.
