What sports did you play when you were younger?

Football and basketball

What got you started in a coaching career?

I love working with kids.

What was your most rewarding moment(s) as a coach?

Getting to the semifinals in 2007.

What was your most deflating moment(s)?

Being ejected at Monarch last year.

What is most important about having sports a part of the high school experience?

Watching kids grow and mature into quality young adults.

What do you feel is the biggest struggle for high school sports presently?

The balance between club sports and high school sports. Too many kids have become one-sport athletes.

If you could coach one professional sports team, which would it be, and what changes would you make?

I would coach the Minnesota Vikings, and I would replace Brett Favre with Tarvaris Jackson.

If the team you're coaching presently were to win the state championship, what would you say would be the No. 1 reason for it?

Great kids and great teamwork.

What do you do for fun that isn’t related to the sport you presently coach?

I read.

Walt Disney pictures decides to make a motion picture about your team and its achievements. What celebrity actor/actress would play you in the movie?

Denzel Washington.
