The Town of Parker is looking for qualified candidates interested in land-use and development to apply for openings becoming available soon on the Parker Planning Commission.
After the current terms expired, five of the volunteer positions became available, including two regular commissioners and three alternate commissioners, according to a news release from the town. Terms are three years for regular positions and one year for alternates.
The planning commission, an advisory board appointed by the town council, provides recommendations to council on land-use and related development issues, according to the release.
Regular meetings will be the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 20120 E. Mainstreet.
Appointees must be residents of the Town of Parker for at least one year immediately preceding the date of appointment and be a registered elector, according to the release. Relatives of Town employees and officials are not eligible to apply.
Applicants are asked to submit a letter of interest and resume to: Town of Parker Community Development Department, Attn: Bryce Matthews, 20120 E. Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80138; or email: email@example.com. The deadline for applications is Friday, April 23, 2021 at 5 p.m.
